
biography
Dan Sanguineti is an awarded Canberra-made producer, writer and filmmaker. He currently works as a Producer for AIE Studios.
He has produced six feature length films, including Aussie Zombie Comedy, Me and My Mates vs The Zombie Apocalypse (2015), three web series that includes Gold Coast Film Festival nominated best web series At the Phoenix (2021), and a myriad of short and longer form content across 20 years of his production career. He was also the Production & Logistics Coordinator and EPK Producer for the AACTA nominated Best Film Sissy (2022).
Dan was awarded in 2012, a Master’s degree of Creative Writing specialising in Screenwriting and in 2005, and a Bachelor degree in Communication specialising in Film and Media, both from the University of Canberra. He has attained a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Before December 2025, Dan was the Senior Film and Virtual Production teacher and Content Developer at the AIE Film School in Canberra, and previously he has taught in filmmaking courses for the University of Canberra and for the Canberra Institute of Technology.
He is a passionate advocate for inclusive, universal and accessible filmmaking, and for three years was the filmmaking tutor for Bus Stop Films Canberra, in their Accessible Film Studies program. For Bus Stop Films, he directed 3 short films, The Enchanted Ball (2021), Panther in the Dark (2022) and Dungeons, Goblins & Broccoli (2023), of which saw selections to BAFTA and OSCAR qualifying film festivals.
